Local Research Advisory Group

Local Research Advisory Groups are established to provide local knowledge and input to inform the research in each of the three regional areas.

Advisory Group Aims

The Local Research Advisory Group will help to maximise community participation of people with disabilities by:

  • Providing feedback on research tools at each phase of the project

  • Providing input on ways to best engage locally

  • Providing ideas on enhancing participant voices within the scope of the research project

  • Facilitating relevant linkages within network and the broader sector to support the promotion of the project

  • Promoting research events, initiatives and programs. 

Are you Interested in joining?

We are currently calling for nominations to join a voluntary research advisory group from people who identify as a person with a disability, who are 16 years and older, and who live in Clarence City Council or Gympie Regional Council areas. A family member of a child with a disability 15 years and under who live in either area can also apply to join. 

If you would like to join your Local Advisory Research Group read and download the relevant Terms of Reference (TOR) and Expression of interest (EOI) forms for the council area you live in below.
